Responsibilities
- Create, deliver, and maintain high-quality, performant, and secure software solutions.
- Assess future-state technology needs and build solutions that address identified system gaps and business objectives.
- Provide technical leadership across the software development lifecycle and ensure architectural consistency and engineering excellence.
- Lead software-system design and reviews, making high-level architecture and technology decisions.
- Pair program with software engineers and AI tools to learn, coach, and mentor.
- Contribute to open-source and inner-source projects.
- Use New Relic, Dynatrace, and Moogsoft to support performance monitoring, end-to-end logging, and telemetry.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of backend development experience designing and implementing solutions with Databricks, PySpark, Azure Data Factory, and SQL Server.
- At least 5 years of experience developing cloud-native solutions on Azure.
- At least 5 years of experience deploying solutions through CI/CD using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar technologies.
- Proven experience designing software systems and documenting designs using tools such as UML.
- Ability to find solutions, make sound professional decisions, communicate complex information clearly, and work effectively within distributed teams.
- Familiarity with Java and Java Spring Boot is an asset.
- Experience with Power BI and financial-industry experience are assets.
- Experience with JavaScript, React, and/or Node.js is an asset.
