Base Salary
$279k - $341k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead, design, and build scalable Python backend systems for processing safety-related signals.
- Provide architectural guidance, system design leadership, and mentorship to engineers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on content moderation and compliance tools, including in-house and vendor solutions.
- Implement and enhance ML/AI models and automation for content moderation and decision-making.
- Design systems with an adversarial mindset to address malicious behavior and illegal content.
- Define workstreams, lead projects, and mobilize engineers to deliver impactful outcomes.
Requirements
- Extensive experience developing and maintaining backend systems with Python.
- Strong architecture and system design skills for scalable, reliable content moderation systems and large-scale initiatives.
- Ability to define workstreams, lead projects, and guide engineers through implementation.
- Experience in a domain requiring an adversarial mindset, such as trust, safety, security, or privacy.
- Experience participating in a 24/7 production on-call rotation.
