Base Salary
$180k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of complex, scalable full-stack web applications and distributed systems.
- Set code-quality standards through code reviews, automated testing strategies, and technical documentation.
- Own major product areas end to end, including discovery, system design, deployment, and post-launch optimization.
- Partner with Product and Design to shape the roadmap and ensure technical feasibility and scalability.
- Identify and resolve application performance, database efficiency, and frontend rendering bottlenecks.
- Mentor mid-level and junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, observability, and infrastructure-as-code to increase developer velocity.
- Lead technical RFC processes and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial experience building and scaling production-grade full-stack applications.
- Expert knowledge of React and TypeScript, including state management, performance profiling, and modern CSS strategies.
- Experience designing high-throughput RESTful or GraphQL APIs and microservices with Node.js, Java, or Python.
- Strong experience with AWS or similar cloud providers and SQL and NoSQL database design and optimization.
- Ability to design resilient, observable, and maintainable distributed systems.
- Strong communication skills and experience leading technical RFC processes.
- Preferred: experience deploying or integrating LLMs and AI-driven features into consumer-facing products.
- Preferred: proficiency with Rust and Tauri for high-performance desktop or system-level applications.
- Preferred: experience scaling products from early stage to mass market in a high-growth environment.
- Preferred: strong product sense and ability to make user-focused design trade-offs.
