Base Salary
$120k - $141k/yr
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical subject-matter expert and lead engineering efforts across Apigee OPDK, Apigee Hybrid on Azure, and Apollo GraphQL platforms.
- Design and deliver secure, scalable, and highly available API gateway solutions.
- Lead Apigee on-premises-to-Apigee Hybrid migrations and cloud-native platform adoption.
- Drive Apollo GraphQL platform strategy, architecture, federation, routing, schema governance, and optimization.
- Implement OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, traffic management, and API governance controls.
- Automate platform deployments and operations using GitLab CI/CD, Kubernetes, Helm, Ansible, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Improve platform reliability through monitoring, observability, incident response, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Lead platform engineering initiatives, influence architecture decisions, collaborate with Architects, Security, Infrastructure, and Development teams, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in a total information technology environment.
- At least 7 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting technology infrastructure.
- Experience administering and engineering Apigee OPDK, including API management, proxy development, traffic management, analytics, and platform administration.
- Experience with enterprise platforms, middleware, API management solutions, cloud infrastructure, or distributed application environments.
- Hands-on experience deploying and supporting Apigee Hybrid on Azure AKS/Kubernetes environments.
- Strong Apollo GraphQL experience, including Federation, Router, schema design, governance, and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of API security, including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, mTLS, and enterprise security practices.
- Experience with cloud-native platforms using Kubernetes, Helm, containers, and Azure services.
- Strong automation and DevSecOps experience using GitLab CI/CD, Ansible, Python, Bash, and GitOps practices.
- Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog, distributed logging, monitoring, and Site Reliability Engineering.
- Ability to lead large-scale platform engineering initiatives, influence architecture decisions, and mentor technical teams.
