Base Salary
$140k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Create reusable personalized skills, plugins, and agents with Codex, including versioning, documentation, and ongoing improvements.
- Connect approved systems, documents, and data through APIs and Model Context Protocol tools with permission-aware retrieval and authorized actions.
- Deploy Azure applications and integrations with appropriate identity, access, secrets, networking, monitoring, and recovery practices.
- Test representative tasks and failure scenarios, diagnose issues across code, data, models, plugins, agents, and integrations, and resolve root causes.
- Use Codex to explore repositories, implement features, troubleshoot failures, review code, and run meaningful tests.
- Build, deploy, and maintain applications, services, data workflows, and agent integrations through production support.
- Launch solutions with users, provide guides and training, gather feedback, and improve adoption.
- Learn business workflows with domain experts and translate ambiguous requests into scope and acceptance criteria.
- Measure workflow quality, cycle time, manual effort, adoption, and reliability, and report verified outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Systems, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
- 5-8+ years of experience in relevant areas such as forward-deployed engineering, data engineering, software engineering, enterprise AI, energy infrastructure, or decision-support systems.
- Demonstrated ability to build, deploy, debug, and maintain useful software and explain technical decisions, resolved failures, and user outcomes.
- Strong coding ability in Python, TypeScript, or a comparable language, with practical knowledge of APIs, data handling, Git, testing, and integration.
- Expert practical fluency with Codex, including task and repository structuring, skill authoring, tool use, reviewing diffs, and testing generated results.
- Deep hands-on Azure experience with applications or integrations, authentication, permissions, secrets, deployment, observability, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with MCP, tool calling, retrieval, or comparable AI integration patterns, including constraining tool authority and evaluating behavior.
- Ability to learn unfamiliar domains, work through incomplete documentation, collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues, explain tradeoffs, and respect confidentiality and business controls.
