Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data.
- Perform functional, integration, system, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing.
- Validate software functionality against business, technical, and security requirements.
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to identify and resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Support requirements analysis, design reviews, testing, deployment, production support, and post-release verification across the software development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts.
- Track, document, and manage defects through resolution and closure, including root-cause analysis and corrective-action recommendations.
- Test AWS EC2-based cloud-hosted systems and services, operating-system and application patches, LDAP services, authentication, authorization, access, and directory synchronization.
- Validate integrations among applications, databases, APIs, identity management systems, and enterprise platforms.
- Create and maintain test environments, datasets, configuration baselines, testing reports, metrics, dashboards, procedures, and validation documentation.
- Support cybersecurity, compliance, DevSecOps, automated pipeline, code review, and design review activities focused on software quality and testability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- At least four years of software development, software testing, quality assurance, or related experience.
- Experience developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts, and managing defects.
- Experience supporting enterprise software applications and system testing activities.
- Experience with manual and automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Familiarity with AWS environments, EC2 instances, and cloud-hosted applications.
- Experience validating operating-system, middleware, and application patching activities.
- Experience supporting or testing LDAP directory services, authentication services, and access management solutions.
- Knowledge of web applications, APIs, databases, and software integration testing methodologies.
- Experience using defect-tracking and project-management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or equivalent platforms.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional technical environment.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain the required clearance.
- Preferred experience includes DHS or CISA programs, cybersecurity or compliance applications, automated testing frameworks, CI/CD platforms, AWS cloud environments, containerized applications, infrastructure automation, LDAP, Active Directory, IAM, SSO, FISMA, NIST SP 800-53, RMF, and Zero Trust.
- Preferred certifications include ISTQB Certified Tester, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Security+, and Certified Agile Tester or equivalent certifications.
