Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver scalable software solutions across the full stack using Java and Python.
- Lead the architecture and implementation of distributed systems focused on performance, reliability, maintainability, and operational excellence.
- Own feature delivery from design and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and production support.
- Build and evolve RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems with strong service contracts and backward compatibility.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, automate testing, and enhance developer productivity.
- Debug complex production issues, identify bottlenecks, and perform root-cause analysis.
- Design for scalability, resilience, observability, monitoring, logging, and alerting.
- Contribute to containerization, infrastructure as code, auto-scaling, and other cloud-native transformation initiatives.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Influence technical direction and deliver high-impact outcomes aligned with organizational goals.
Requirements
- Use Java and Python to build enterprise-grade platform services and applications.
- Have a basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and generative AI technologies, including LLMs, prompt engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation.
- Demonstrate strong Linux and Unix shell proficiency, including scripting and troubleshooting.
- Have experience with NGINX, HAProxy, Envoy, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar technologies.
- Have strong Git source control skills.
- Have experience with observability and monitoring platforms such as Splunk, Elastic, Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Understand JVM internals and be able to diagnose issues using thread dumps, heap dumps, JFR, VisualVM, or similar tools.
- Demonstrate systems thinking, strong communication and collaboration, ownership, adaptability, and a commitment to documentation and continuous improvement.
