Base Salary
$140k - $155k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks.
- Translate complex business and technical requirements into effective test strategies.
- Evaluate application architecture, integration points, and technical risk.
- Improve functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test coverage.
- Provide visibility into quality and test outcomes.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, quality assurance, business partners, and other stakeholders throughout the software development life cycle.
- Provide technical leadership to help engineers improve test quality and coverage.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining test automation frameworks.
- Experience supporting fixed-income trading applications and understanding the order lifecycle from order entry through execution and regulatory reporting.
- Experience with quality assurance, test planning, testing procedures, and unit testing.
- Proficiency with Java, REST APIs, and object-oriented software development.
- Experience assessing application architecture, integration points, and technical risk.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with architects, engineers, QA professionals, business partners, and other stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with Python, behavior-driven development, Gherkin, test-driven development, IBM MQ, Kafka, FIX protocol, QuickFIX engines, TRACE, regulatory reporting systems, DevOps, continuous integration and delivery, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Google Cloud Platform, SQL, relational databases, data validation, end-to-end testing, Bitbucket, Jira, Zephyr, Bamboo, and financial services.
- Preferred technical leadership experience supporting engineers in improving test quality and coverage.
