Responsibilities

  • Own Linux server fleet build, provisioning, patching, hardening, performance tuning, configuration, and lifecycle management for colocation trading workloads.
  • Develop automation for operating-system deployment, configuration management, compliance, fleet patching, and repeatable golden server builds.
  • Optimize latency, throughput, and stability across Linux, hardware, CPU, kernel, interrupt, NUMA, and network interface layers.
  • Operate observability involving metrics, logs, alerting, runbooks, and service-level improvements.
  • Lead incident response, triage, mitigation, root-cause analysis, post-incident reviews, and corrective or preventive actions.
  • Coordinate hardware break/fix, remote hands, firmware alignment, maintenance windows, and standardized rack-level practices.
  • Maintain secure access, secrets handling, least-privilege controls, capacity planning, upgrade strategies, resiliency testing, and operational documentation.
  • Adopt and establish safe, traceable, auditable enterprise-authorized AI-assisted reliability workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related discipline.
  • Formal SRE training or certification and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Production Linux administration experience in mission-critical environments, including RHEL-derived or Debian/Ubuntu systems.
  • Strong Linux internals, performance tuning, troubleshooting, hardware, networking, incident management, on-call, and post-incident review experience.
  • Proficiency with Bash and Python or Go for infrastructure automation and system administration.
  • Experience with configuration management, monitoring, observability, root-cause analysis, and operational reliability practices.
  • Ability to communicate technical issues and business impact to engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
  • Experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities with validation, data-sensitivity, security, resiliency, and auditability awareness.
  • Preferred experience includes electronic trading or other latency-sensitive environments, colocation data centers, low-latency Linux tuning, infrastructure-as-code patterns, golden server builds, and large-scale fleet management.
