Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, integrate, deploy, maintain, and enhance complex application systems.
- Write well-designed, testable, efficient code using front-end and back-end technologies.
- Analyze organizational requirements and prepare application designs, flowcharts, layouts, and technical documentation.
- Develop tests, test-automation suites, software verification plans, and quality assurance procedures.
- Participate in code reviews, deployment processes, change controls, troubleshooting, debugging, and software upgrades.
- Apply security and privacy principles and maintain software functionality, currency, and technical debt improvements.
- Collaborate with data engineers, business users, project managers, and other engineers to deliver shared team objectives.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote reuse, continuous improvement, and software development best practices.
- Complete required training and use learning resources such as Pluralsight for professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 2–6 years of software development experience.
- Experience developing both front-end and back-end software applications.
- Thorough knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of C#, Java, HTML, Node.js, CSS, JSON, Angular, and JavaScript, or comparable application development toolkit technologies.
- Knowledge of application frameworks, containerization, cross-platform interoperability, and major tools within a platform-specific toolkit.
- Experience resolving hardware, software, and communications malfunctions and understanding their business impact.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is preferred.
- Strong teamwork, organizational, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.
