Responsibilities

  • Design and implement network automation solutions to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code templates for consistent network configurations.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify automation opportunities and translate requirements into scalable processes.
  • Oversee automation projects from conception through deployment and support.
  • Conduct pre-release and post-release testing to identify and mitigate issues.
  • Build and maintain an automation framework supporting self-service capabilities for internal customers.
  • Document automation processes and maintain version control.
  • Research emerging network automation technologies and propose capability-enhancing initiatives.
  • Support the automation technology stack through business-as-usual and bug-fix activities.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles.
  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL for developing automated processes and APIs.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewall configurations.
  • Familiarity with load balancing, caching, and cloud-based services.
  • Experience with Ansible, Jenkins, and Git.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with change and version control systems.
