Base Salary

$85k - $167k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver responsive, accessible, high-performance front-end architecture for micro-frontends.
  • Develop high-quality UI modules and interfaces for Ford’s eCommerce and Vehicle Dashboard products.
  • Integrate applications with existing Ford software products, backend systems, and external cloud services.
  • Use AI coding assistants such as Ford LLM and GitHub Copilot, including prompt design and guard-railing.
  • Implement UI features from Figma design specifications.
  • Analyze and improve performance using Lighthouse, Dynatrace, Core Web Vitals, and related monitoring tools.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, architects, engineers, cloud, security, SRE, and DevOps experts.
  • Test and debug UI issues across browsers and devices and troubleshoot production issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience developing and delivering modern web applications.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with React, Next.js, or comparable front-end frameworks.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, including DOM manipulation and browser APIs.
  • Experience with accessible, responsive, scalable, and maintainable user interfaces using WCAG standards.
  • Preferred experience with micro-frontends, SSR, CSR, SSG, HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind CSS, BEM, SMACSS, Redux, Zustand, or Flux.
  • Preferred proficiency with Node.js, NPM, Yarn, Webpack, Babel, Jest, and Playwright.
  • Preferred experience with performance optimization, SEO, design systems, and web security standards including OWASP Top 10, XSS, CSRF, CSP, OAuth 2.0, JWT, and secure coding practices.
  • Google Cloud Platform experience is highly preferred.
