Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and support OutSystems 11 enterprise applications using reusable modules, modular architecture, and appropriate security controls.
- Translate customer and business needs into solution designs, impact assessments, delivery estimates, and technical recommendations.
- Review architecture, code, and vendor deliverables to identify performance, security, maintainability, and implementation-quality gaps.
- Design and implement integrations with enterprise systems through REST APIs and other interfaces, including authentication, data mapping, error handling, and operational logging.
- Build proofs of concept to validate technical feasibility, integration approaches, and platform capabilities.
- Investigate application, database, integration, and hosting issues using logs, configuration, and reproducible tests; establish root causes and coordinate fixes.
- Support on-premises platform configuration, deployment planning, production releases, and service reliability with infrastructure and DevOps teams.
- Write maintainable and tested solutions, conduct code reviews, and support integration testing, UAT, performance testing, and security remediation.
- Provide technical advice to customers, explain trade-offs, guide developers, and produce architecture diagrams, API specifications, and technical findings.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on OutSystems 11 development and production enterprise application delivery.
- OutSystems 11 developer certification, such as Associate Developer, earlier Associate Reactive Developer, or a higher-level O11 developer certification.
- Practical experience developing, deploying, and supporting OutSystems 11 applications in on-premises environments.
- Strong OutSystems 11 skills in Reactive Web development, modular architecture, entities, application logic, reusable components, and role-based access control.
- Experience with Service Studio, Service Center, and LifeTime for development, troubleshooting, and deployment.
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and working with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, and API gateway integrations.
- Strong relational database and SQL skills, including data modeling, query optimization, and data-issue investigation.
- Working knowledge of cloud hosting and network connectivity, preferably AWS, plus Windows Server, IIS, DNS, proxies, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, consulting, communication, stakeholder-engagement, and technical explanation skills.
- Preferred experience with Web Developer Specialist or Architecture Specialist O11 credentials, C#/.NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React, Integration Studio, GCC, regulated environments, enterprise integration platforms, multiple vendors, secure file transfer, encryption, certificate management, enterprise authentication, AI tools, or AI integration.
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
