Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate NAWS-based services using Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, and SQS for Glacier fleet automation.
- Develop automation for firmware deployment, library onboarding, hardware monitoring, offline-library remediation, drive blocklisting, stuck-job workflows, and ticket escalation.
- Build and maintain operator tooling and Fleet Commander integrations for safe and auditable fleet operations.
- Collaborate with BDT, Quantum, DCO technicians, and S3 Glacier teams on solutions spanning software and physical hardware.
- Participate in on-call rotations, respond to operational events, and reduce recurring operational toil.
- Write high-quality Java, Python, and Go code with infrastructure defined in CDK.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship design or architecture experience involving design patterns, reliability, and scaling of new and existing systems.
- At least 3 years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 3 years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 3 years of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years covering the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
