Responsibilities
- Own the development and maintenance of the Stream Processor for biometric and computer vision workloads.
- Optimize resource allocation, throughput, and latency on embedded and specialized hardware.
- Implement and maintain backend features supporting the overall solution architecture.
- Study and improve the existing architecture, components, internal logic, build process, and deployment pipeline.
- Lead the ongoing evolution of the Stream Processor and contribute to architectural decisions across edge and backend systems.
- Research, propose, and defend technical decisions while mentoring junior colleagues and sharing knowledge.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Rust and C++ for systems-level development is required.
- Experience with embedded systems, high-performance computing, or specialized hardware with limited resources is required.
- Experience with test automation is strongly preferred.
- Experience with computer vision, video streaming, or high-performance data processing is preferred.
- Backend development experience is preferred, while the ability to understand and reason about high-level backend design is required.
- Extensive low-level systems development experience and the ability to make independent technical decisions are expected.
