Responsibilities
- Build and optimize eKYC identity verification and compliance systems.
- Design and implement reliable, durable verification workflows.
- Develop high-performance REST APIs with FastAPI.
- Integrate document verification, biometric authentication, and fraud detection APIs.
- Implement data validation pipelines supporting KYC/AML and GDPR requirements.
- Optimize performance, scalability, reliability, security, and compliance for sensitive customer data.
- Collaborate with product, platform, business analyst, and other cross-functional teams.
- Maintain code quality through testing, type hints, and code reviews.
- Drive technical decisions, own domain initiatives end-to-end, and mentor fellow engineers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional Python development experience.
- Strong experience with FastAPI or similar API frameworks and async Python using asyncio.
- Understanding of distributed systems concepts including retries, idempotency, and sagas.
- Strong PostgreSQL knowledge, including query optimization and schema design.
- Experience building and maintaining microservices architectures.
- Proficiency with Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong REST API design skills using OpenAPI/Swagger.
- Understanding of SaaS architecture and multi-tenancy patterns.
- Preferred experience with Pydantic, pytest, integration and performance testing, Redis, Temporal, RabbitMQ, Kafka, workflow orchestration, and ORM frameworks such as Odoo, Django, or SQLAlchemy.
- Nice-to-have experience in identity verification or biometrics, JavaScript/React, Java/Kotlin, AWS, and observability practices.
