Responsibilities
- Design systems, applications, and infrastructure using MongoDB and the Atlas Developer Data Platform.
- Advise customers on architectures, patterns, and strategies for using MongoDB.
- Support sales through technical discovery, demos, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, and technical documentation.
- Translate technical concepts and patterns into business benefits for management and executives.
- Support complex Atlas Search deal cycles and assist with search enablement across the worldwide pre-sales team.
- Collect customer and field feedback and relay it to Product Management to help enhance Atlas Search and guide Vector Search and AI/ML direction.
- Mentor and enable other solutions architects on search-related technical and business concepts and build demonstration tools.
- Participate in trade shows and account-based marketing events.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of search expertise with technologies such as Elasticsearch, Lucene, Solr, Algolia, Lucidworks, or similar.
- At least 3 years of software development experience.
- At least 3 years of pre-sales experience with enterprise software.
- Ability to code with two or more modern scripting or popular programming languages, such as Python, Node.js, C, C++, C#, or Java.
- Experience with scalable, highly available distributed systems.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time.
- Preferred experience selling databases, deploying applications with major cloud providers, database programming, data modeling, MongoDB Certification, or a major cloud provider certification.
