Responsibilities
- Design and develop mid-tier services and REST APIs using the Java ecosystem.
- Build and maintain database-centric applications using SQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
- Work with Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Hibernate, enterprise security applications, and large legacy codebases.
- Perform unit, regression, and integration testing and debug software issues.
- Use build, security, and AI-assisted development tools as part of the software development process.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant software development experience.
- Excellent programming skills with Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
- Experience with database-centric applications and SQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
- Knowledge of Ant and Maven build tools.
- Knowledge of security concepts and tools such as Snyk and Black Duck.
- Knowledge of IBM Virtual Identity Access (IVIA), WebSeal, SiteMinder, and Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA).
- Experience with unit, regression, and integration testing across large software portfolios.
- Ability to work with large legacy codebases and learn new technologies quickly.
- Familiarity with Groovy and AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code is advantageous.
