Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Go.
- Build event-driven systems and data pipelines using Apache Kafka.
- Design, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL data models and queries.
- Containerize and orchestrate services using Docker and support deployment pipelines.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and cross-team engineering discussions.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience building scalable, production-grade backend services and APIs with Go.
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Strong experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven architectures and data streaming pipelines.
- Experience with Git-based version control tools such as GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket, or SVN.
- Good experience with Docker and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
- Bachelor of Science or Engineering in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- Candidates must currently reside in the United Kingdom and be available to start within four weeks of receiving an offer.
- Knowledge of Java Microservices and Spring Boot is preferred.
