Responsibilities
- Implement security controls for IT/OT platforms, including HMI, gateway station, and communication layers.
- Develop reusable security frameworks that support standardized and project-specific solutions.
- Identify threats and apply protective measures to edge, infrastructure, distributed, and industrial environments.
- Document solutions and support testing so project teams can deploy secure, validated components.
- Configure and harden industrial communication protocols using authentication and authorization best practices.
- Build and validate secure baselines, hardened images, firewall rules, and configuration templates for IT/OT components.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience testing code and creating test cases for developed components.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols including Modbus, IEC-based protocols, SNMP, TCP/UDP, VLANs, and IPsec.
- Familiarity with SCADA, PLCs, HMIs, gateway devices, and other core OT components.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, network monitoring tools, vulnerability scanners, packet analyzers, and endpoint hardening utilities.
- Understanding of ISO 27001 and related cybersecurity standards is a plus.
- Strong documentation and communication skills for supporting cross-functional engineering teams.
