Base Salary

$136k - $203k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop robust, high-quality C++ flight software for CTOL and VTOL aircraft.
  • Build trajectory-planning and decision-making algorithm libraries using C++ and Python.
  • Create test plans, simulation tools, and testing frameworks to evaluate robustness, performance, and runtime behavior.
  • Support flight testing as a required crewmember in a remote ground station.
  • Collaborate with software and controls engineers to plan and deliver integrated solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or a related field.
  • Understanding of trajectory-planning and decision-making algorithms and their runtime complexity.
  • Experience writing real-time and safety-critical C++ flight software.
  • Professional experience writing C++ and Python.
  • Must qualify as a US Person under 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 to meet US export-control requirements.
  • Desired: experience developing real-time trajectory-planning algorithms for CTOL and VTOL aircraft.
  • Desired: experience building Monte Carlo simulation-based test frameworks for worst-case onboard trajectory-planning runtime analysis.
  • Desired: experience with decision-making or automated reasoning systems and multi-agent systems.

  • Target base pay is $136,100–$202,600 per year, plus Restricted Stock Units.
