Base Salary
$79k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable distributed-system components, data retrieval and processing capabilities, and reliability mechanisms such as redundancy, replication, failover, retries, circuit breakers, and timeouts.
- Develop functional, performance, load, fault-injection, and brown-out testing for system components and features.
- Build dashboards, telemetry, alarms, alerting, runbooks, operational procedures, and troubleshooting automation.
- Diagnose and resolve operational issues, participate in incident response and support rotations, and lead root-cause investigations.
- Apply encryption, access controls, security remediation, and compliance practices for cloud infrastructure and multi-tenant applications.
- Maintain infrastructure automation and support patching, updates, rollbacks, and other change-management activities.
- Drive end-to-end engineering efforts, manage risks and dependencies, collaborate with stakeholders and external integration teams, and mentor junior engineers.
- Help evolve Oracle cloud provisioning and enablement processes and deliver product features on time and with high quality.
Requirements
- Seasoned, hands-on software engineer capable of making design decisions for scalable, highly available, secure, multi-tenant cloud services.
- Ability to design and drive end-to-end engineering work spanning design, development, test infrastructure, and operational excellence.
- Experience handling complex technical issues, system reliability, incident response, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Understanding of cloud technologies and cloud provisioning and enablement processes, including security and compliance considerations.
- Ability to work independently, collaborate across teams, guide integrations, manage risks, and mentor junior engineers.
