Responsibilities
- Research AI systems and evaluate their performance across desktop and mobile platforms.
- Optimize and evaluate ML models and privacy and security technologies for on-device performance.
- Develop and deploy mobile and desktop applications and systems.
- Work on browser ML models, novel AI applications, and on-device AI agents.
- Collaborate with privacy and security researchers to address risks associated with AI.
- Implement data-driven products and contribute to open-source projects and systems optimization.
Requirements
- Experience with software development practices using Python, C++, JavaScript, and/or Rust.
- A proven track record implementing data-driven products and a broad understanding of systems and networks.
- Experience with AI systems research and performance evaluation.
- Expertise optimizing and evaluating ML models and/or privacy and security technologies for on-device performance.
- Experience with modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, MLX, ONNX Runtime, Core ML, and TensorRT.
- Ability to create and deploy mobile and desktop applications and systems.
- Comfort working in an open-source setting.
- Passion for protecting user privacy and security.
- A Ph.D. in computer science is highly preferred, with exceptions potentially considered for candidates with industry experience.
- Preferred qualifications include ML systems experience, mobile or desktop systems optimization projects, confidential computing and security/privacy protocol experience, a strong publication record, and industry experience.
