Responsibilities
- Oversee DevOps release processes and frameworks for promoting release packages from lower environments to production.
- Develop release implementation plans and deploy packages to QA, test, performance, and production environments.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment environments, automation scripts, and infrastructure-as-code delivery processes.
- Provision, configure, monitor, upgrade, and troubleshoot Azure infrastructure and development, QA, and performance environments.
- Ensure lower environments are available, maintained, configured, and suitable for developer and QA testing.
- Maintain CMDB records for applications, services, databases, servers, URLs, and infrastructure.
- Research and implement automation tools and establish monitoring for environment health and performance.
- Enforce environment and application security policies and document procedures and tools.
- Establish and manage proof-of-concept environments and report on design outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience in software development, DevOps frameworks, and DevOps methodologies.
- At least 4 years of practical experience in DevOps release management, Azure environment management, and deployments.
- Deep understanding of hardware, software, network, and data configurations for designing and maintaining test environments.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure ARM templates, Azure DevOps pipelines, infrastructure as code, Azure networking, firewalls, WAF, ExpressRoute, IPSec tunnels, and Virtual WAN.
- Experience with Linux and Windows, GitLab or GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, Bash, PowerShell, Batch, and Shell scripting.
- Understanding of DNS, load balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, networking, security, virtualization, and operating systems.
- Experience with Azure cloud delivery methodologies, engineering standards, frameworks, best practices, ALM, and SDLC.
- Experience with .NET, .NET Core, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, Java, C#, XML, REST, SQL/NoSQL, Angular, Node.js, and Redis.
- Experience supporting production releases and environments.
