Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain observability dashboards in Splunk, Datadog, and Grafana using production WiFi device telemetry.
  • Write SPL queries to analyze device health metrics, reboot patterns, and firmware release performance.
  • Create data visualizations and present dashboard demonstrations and findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Assist with Datadog monitoring and alerting configuration and firmware release observability.
  • Contribute Python automation for data extraction, report generation, and pipeline support.
  • Prototype AI/LLM integrations for automated analysis, natural-language querying, and intelligent alerting.
  • Participate in team planning, Kanban workflow activities, professional development, networking, and a 10-week capstone project.

Requirements

  • Must be a rising senior with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
  • Must have a current GPA of at least 3.0.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without restrictions or future sponsorship.
  • Must be able to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities.
  • Preferred qualifications include Python, data visualization, Linux or command-line familiarity, Git, analytical and problem-solving skills, log analysis or search query language experience, AWS exposure, and interest in observability, monitoring, or site reliability engineering.
