Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operate MaintainX's public REST APIs with a focus on consistency and scalability.
- Implement platform standards such as authentication, rate limiting, and error management.
- Create robust batch and bulk API operations for large data synchronization.
- Decouple the REST API layer from monolithic dependencies while ensuring stability.
- Develop scaffolding, templates, and shared libraries to streamline connector development.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines and quality controls for ecosystem integrations.
- Produce clear developer documentation and reference implementations.
- Contribute to infrastructure for integration management on internal and external marketplaces.
- Establish automated onboarding processes for clients.
- Build standardized integration foundations and reusable components for enterprise systems.
- Ensure integrations meet security, auditability, and performance requirements.
- Take responsibility for production services and platform components, including monitoring and incident management.
- Drive performance optimization based on measurable data.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience in software engineering, particularly in backend systems and API development.
- Strong experience in service-oriented backend development with proficiency in TypeScript, Go, or C#.
- Experience with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.
- Good understanding of distributed systems fundamentals such as reliability and scalability.
- Experience in deploying robust APIs with a focus on developer experience.
- Strong testing culture with practical experience in CI/CD pipelines.
- Comfortable collaborating across teams including Product and Design.
