Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and operate resilient services in Java and Golang.
- Develop advanced dial-plan capabilities, including routing-node variables, variable sharing, and conditional routing logic.
- Expand the GoTo Connect IVR platform with more flexible call routing and context sharing.
- Migrate CI/CD pipelines from Jenkins to GitHub Actions.
- Deploy and operate production services on Kubernetes and contribute to observability, incident response, and service supportability.
- Create and review pull requests focused on code quality, maintainability, and test coverage.
- Participate in architecture and technical discussions and own features from design through production.
- Participate in on-call and production-support rotations.
- Use GitHub Copilot, Claude, and agentic coding tools regularly and help improve the team’s AI-assisted development practices.
Requirements
- Solid experience with Java and practical working knowledge of Golang.
- Experience building and operating microservices in a cloud-native SaaS environment.
- Comfort with Docker and Kubernetes and familiarity with AWS services including S3, Lambda, and SQS.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, and CI/CD workflows.
- Daily use of AI-assisted coding tools and willingness to help mature the team’s practices.
- Ability to independently own features from design through production.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills and comfort working on Linux and macOS.
- French proficiency is required for permanent positions in Quebec, and English proficiency is required for communication with predominantly non-Quebec colleagues, customers, and partners.
- Preferred experience includes SIP, VoIP, Asterisk, telephony, IVR systems, call-routing logic, OpenAPI, spec-first API design, Kafka, Helm, Terraform, data engineering, data pipelines, or call-handling and contact-centre domains.
