Responsibilities
- Develop primarily in Java or Python.
- Contribute code to new and existing projects, debug software, and participate in code reviews.
- Harvest and process large datasets through internal systems to support Elsevier data products.
- Work with technologies including Confluent Kafka, Kubernetes, Linked-Data/RDF/JSON-LD, Databricks, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Apache Airflow, and Apache Iceberg.
Requirements
- Current and extensive Java and Python development skills.
- Proficiency with data manipulation languages and the ability to work with data models.
- Development experience with technologies including Java, Spring Boot, XML, SQL, and UNIX.
- Bilingual professional communication skills in English and French.
- Located in the Montreal area.
- Ability and desire to learn new processes and technologies.
Benefits
- Canada national base pay range of $78,600–$131,000 CAD, with geographic differentials potentially applying.
- Eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
