Base Salary
$150k - $350k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and operate high-throughput backend services for threat ingestion, enrichment, scoring, alerting, and threat linking.
- Develop APIs, dashboards, production services, and automation that help operations teams and customers find and remediate threats.
- Architect scalable and fault-tolerant systems, including data pipelines, schemas, caching, queues, and reliable processing mechanisms.
- Own work end to end from customer requirements and design through implementation, testing, monitoring, on-call support, and iteration.
- Monitor, debug, and respond to production incidents using logging, tracing, dashboards, SLOs, and alerts.
- Collaborate with Operations, Customer Success, and Sales to deliver measurable outcomes.
- Mentor junior engineers, make product decisions, and contribute to a high-performing team culture.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience building production backend services or full-stack features, or equivalent experience, with a record of shipping end to end.
- Strong mastery of at least one of Python, Go, Java, or Node, plus familiarity with web APIs, asynchronous processing, and service frameworks.
- Experience designing scalable, fault-tolerant systems using concepts such as sharding, caching, queueing, idempotency, and backpressure.
- Experience building and operating large batch or streaming data pipelines and working with data warehouses or OLAP systems for analytics.
- Practical experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, caching, message queues, rate limiting, retries, and cost-versus-latency tradeoffs.
- Strong observability, debugging, and incident response skills, including structured logging, tracing, dashboards, SLOs, and alerts.
- Product ownership and strong cross-functional communication skills.
