Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, test, implement, document, and support applications and databases.
- Translate technical specifications into code and implement automated testing for moderately complex projects.
- Deploy changes across development, test, and production environments and provide follow-up production support.
- Optimize backend performance through database design and code enhancements for scalability.
- Integrate and maintain data pipelines between APIs and backend systems while ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Apply backend security and data protection practices and comply with Information Technology and Information Security policies.
- Participate in design, code, and test inspections, systems analysis, special projects, and process improvement.
- Monitor and refine dashboards and SLOs and resolve known problems using playbooks.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in application development, system analysis, or database management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT, or a Bachelor’s in Computer Applications.
- Experience with database design, SQL, data optimization, API development, and third-party software integration.
- Required skills include Java, Spring Boot, AWS, ECS, Lambda, databases, APIs, IAM, SQL queries, and GitHub.
- Preferred skills include Node, Angular, GraphQL, TypeScript, CSS, API design, and DB2.
- Proficiency with Confluence and JIRA and familiarity with Agile practices.
- Ability to collaborate with front-end developers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Experience debugging AWS and legacy systems with modern tools.
- Exposure to mainframe environments, including COBOL development, debugging, DB2, and VSAM.
