Responsibilities
- Develop C++ and Golang southbound connectors for PLCs and industrial control systems using OPC-UA, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and DNP3.
- Implement communication support for MQTT, CoAP, SOAP, WebSockets, and HTTP/2.
- Build resilient connectors with robust error handling and fault-tolerance mechanisms for operational technology environments.
- Collaborate with product managers, OT and controls engineers, and developers to deliver integration solutions.
- Conduct unit, integration, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
- Optimize connector performance, latency, and scalability.
- Document connectors and APIs, monitor performance, track metrics, and implement logging for troubleshooting.
- Stay current with C++, Golang, and industrial automation ecosystems and contribute to open-source projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in C++; Golang experience is preferred.
- Hands-on experience developing southbound connectors for PLCs and industrial control systems using protocols such as OPC-UA, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, or PROFINET.
- Deep understanding of networking, real-time communication, and industrial automation environments.
- Experience with IIoT protocols is highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of data serialization, error handling, and security principles in integration projects.
- At least 5 years of experience with version control systems such as Git and collaborative development practices.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
