Base Salary
$233k - $325k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write advanced Java code for high-throughput, low-latency engineering solutions.
- Build, debug, review, and maintain secure, high-quality production software.
- Provide technical guidance to business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Drive decisions affecting product design, application functionality, technical operations, and processes.
- Advocate for firmwide engineering frameworks, tools, and software development practices.
- Influence peers and project decision-makers on the use of leading-edge technologies.
- Contribute to an inclusive and respectful engineering culture.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 10+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience building low-latency, high-throughput server-side software with Python and advanced proficiency in Java.
- Experience developing scalable, secure, and resilient applications with Java, Spring Core, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, Kubernetes, Docker, Swagger, and Skaffold.
- Understanding of security standards including OAuth, TLS, JWT, and Kerberos.
- Understanding of Domain-Driven Design, microservices patterns, and modern architectures.
- Experience with Agile software development, application architecture, data architecture, and infrastructure architecture.
- Proficiency with Python and experience with modern microservices architecture.
- Preferred experience includes Kafka event-driven processing, Cassandra or equivalent NoSQL databases, API management, AWS services, and Flink stream processing.
- Familiarity with ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, AppDynamics, and Splunk is preferred.
- Strong collaboration, relationship-building, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
