Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable software for new platform use cases.
- Build and maintain production backend services in C#/.NET.
- Develop distributed applications using event-driven architecture.
- Work with PostgreSQL, SQL, OpenSearch, Kafka, Redis, and RabbitMQ.
- Design solutions to scale existing systems and support management of billions of devices.
- Collaborate across teams and contribute code to other codebases.
- Identify and resolve code, design, architecture, scalability, usability, reliability, and supportability gaps.
- Apply observability, testing, debugging, and reliability practices to distributed systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- 9–14 years of experience building production backend services in C#/.NET.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or a comparable messaging or streaming platform.
- Solid working knowledge of PostgreSQL or similar relational databases and SQL.
- Familiarity with OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, or another search/indexing engine.
- Experience with observability and telemetry, including metrics, logging, and distributed tracing, ideally with Prometheus and related tooling.
- A pragmatic approach to reliability, testing, and debugging distributed systems.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is nice to have.
- Familiarity with Grafana or similar visualization tools is nice to have.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP and CI/CD pipelines is nice to have.
- Understanding of infrastructure-as-code and modern deployment practices is nice to have.
