Responsibilities
- Enable and maintain a custom Linux software stack for platform enablement, validation, and characterization.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Linux kernel drivers and low-level platform software.
- Debug issues spanning hardware, firmware, bootloaders, the Linux kernel, and userspace components.
- Develop Device Tree configurations and platform-specific software components.
- Design telemetry, monitoring, instrumentation, and automation tools for observability, diagnostics, performance analysis, and validation.
- Build tooling that interacts with hardware debuggers and platform interfaces to collect and analyze system data.
- Collaborate with silicon, firmware, performance, validation, and software teams to root-cause and resolve platform issues.
- Improve platform stability, usability, and engineering productivity through new tools and workflows.
- Manage multiple bring-up, development, and support activities across hardware programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field plus 4+ years of relevant experience, or a master's degree plus 3+ years, or a PhD plus 2+ years.

- Strong understanding of Linux internals, including scheduling, memory management, interrupt handling, filesystems, and system initialization.
- Proficiency in C, ARM Assembly, and Linux build systems.
- Experience with Linux kernel development, debugging, customization, embedded Linux, BSP development, platform enablement, or systems software.
- Understanding of SoC boot flows, bootloaders, firmware, and Linux bring-up.
- Experience with Linux Device Tree development and board or platform configuration.
- Hands-on experience with JTAG debuggers such as Lauterbach Trace32 or equivalent tools.
- Experience developing telemetry, observability, performance monitoring, or instrumentation solutions for embedded or high-performance systems.
- Experience with Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages for automation and tooling.
- Experience with filesystem management, image creation or modification, flashing, and software deployment processes.
- Familiarity with Git and modern software development practices.
- Experience with hardware bring-up, post-silicon validation, or low-level platform debugging is preferred.
