Responsibilities

  • Design system architectures that break high-level user goals into executable autonomous steps.
  • Integrate AI models with external services, databases, and APIs so agents can manipulate data and perform actions.
  • Develop system prompts, reasoning pathways, and function-calling logic to guide agent decisions and tool usage.
  • Implement short-term and long-term memory systems for conversational and workflow context.
  • Monitor production agent behavior and implement safety guardrails, error handling, and human-in-the-loop workflows.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with agent and chain orchestration frameworks such as LangChain.
  • Deep understanding of large language models, tokenization, embeddings, and API capabilities.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, vector databases, and semantic search.
  • Understanding of AWS, Azure, or GCP for deploying and scaling intelligent applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or a related field plus 2+ years of relevant experience; or a master's degree plus 1+ year; or a PhD in a related field.
  • Equivalent experience may be considered if the candidate can fulfill the principal duties and demonstrate the required competencies.
