Responsibilities
- Define and execute the long-term strategy for CI/CD across the organization.
- Architect reusable workflow templates and standardized deployment pipelines.
- Establish guardrails for secure and scalable build and release processes.
- Drive pipeline performance optimization including build times and caching strategies.
- Lead the design of infrastructure modules and patterns using Terraform.
- Create reusable Terraform modules that enforce best practices.
- Partner with security to integrate policy-as-code into workflows.
- Enable self-service infrastructure provisioning through standardized pipelines.
- Instrument the software development lifecycle to drive improvements.
- Introduce automation to eliminate repetitive developer tasks.
- Champion trunk-based development and release automation practices.
- Set CI/CD and infrastructure standards across multiple product lines.
- Lead multi-team initiatives for pipeline migrations and IaC modernization.
- Publish internal documentation and enablement materials.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on delivery velocity and developer productivity.
- Embed observability and rollback strategies into pipelines.
- Ensure deployments are resilient and auditable.
- Participate in post-incident reviews to improve tooling and processes.
- Mentor senior engineers in CI/CD architecture and infrastructure as code.
- Advocate for an automation-first, developer-first culture.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering.
- Deep expertise with CI/CD systems, especially GitHub Actions.
- Strong experience building scalable infrastructure using Terraform.
- Experience working within the AWS ecosystem.
- Proven track record of improving engineering productivity through automation.
- Experience embedding observability and quality gates into CI/CD workflows.
- AI-first thinking applied to pipeline optimization and incident analysis.
- Strong experience with monitoring and visualization tools.
- Experience influencing technical direction across multiple teams.
