Base Salary
$152k - $152k/yr
Responsibilities
- Create and execute security controls, defenses, and countermeasures to prevent internal and external attacks.
- Develop, test, review, debug, and deploy code supporting security protocols.
- Identify security problems and improve the security of Amazon services.
- Assess risks affecting the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of data, systems, and services.
- Resolve security events and incidents and conduct security assessments using penetration testing and ethical hacking tools.
- Classify, store, and handle data according to policy or best practices.
- Research root causes and resolve security or risk issues with guidance.
Requirements
- Currently hold or be pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Knowledge of at least one security domain, such as access control, network security, application or system development security, security architecture, cryptography, or operations security.
- Experience coding or scripting in one or more languages, such as Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby, or PowerShell.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Preferred: experience with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and SQS.
- Preferred: experience with Wireshark, encryption software, Snort, Sguil, Suricata, Kibana, Metasploit, Nmap, OpenSSL, or Setkey.
