Responsibilities
- Design, develop, customize, and implement complex ServiceNow applications, modules, workflows, and technical solutions.
- Develop and enhance Service Portals using HTML, CSS, AngularJS, Bootstrap, and ServiceNow scripting APIs.
- Architect and implement secure REST and SOAP integrations using JSON, XML, and Integration Hub.
- Troubleshoot complex issues, perform root-cause analysis, and optimize platform performance.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers and administrators.
- Serve as a technical escalation point and contribute to the platform’s long-term architectural roadmap.
- Participate as a technical SME on the Configuration Control Board and evaluate proposed changes.
- Manage deployments using Update Sets, deployment pipelines, and the ServiceNow Application Repository.
- Ensure development complies with governance, security, compliance, and architectural standards.
- Create and maintain technical design documents, architectural diagrams, system configurations, and standard operating procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5–7+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development, configuration, and administration experience.
- Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, and ServiceNow scripting APIs.
- Strong experience building and managing complex REST and SOAP API integrations.
- Experience working in sprint-based delivery cycles and Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification is strongly preferred.
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist certification in a relevant module is preferred.
- Experience with Automated Test Framework and automated testing pipelines is preferred.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, ITSM principles, ITIL v4 certification, and DoD SAPs is preferred.
