Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain the iOS SDLC toolchain in line with firm standards.
- Write and maintain Jenkins pipelines using Groovy, Docker, and Shell.
- Maintain current stable versions of Xcode, Swift, the iOS SDK, and supporting tools.
- Own and optimize reliable iOS application release cycles, including signing and provisioning.
- Automate developer-experience and release-process gaps and friction.
- Define iOS architecture patterns, testing strategies, and Architectural Decision Records.
- Adopt valuable new iOS technologies and platform features.
- Maintain shared iOS application layers, including monitoring, feature flags, and networking.
- Act as a senior escalation point for incidents, complex bugs, production issues, and root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with Security teams and feature teams to implement controls and resolve security findings.
- Lead technical initiatives, review code, mentor engineers, and share knowledge across iOS and Engineering teams.
Requirements
- English working proficiency is required for collaboration with the London team.
- Significant commercial experience in native iOS mobile application development is required.
- Strong knowledge of Swift, Xcode, and LLVM/Clang build systems is required.
- Expertise in core iOS libraries and frameworks, Swift Concurrency, and modern architecture patterns is required.
- Hands-on Jenkins, Groovy, and Docker experience for CI/CD pipelines is required.
- Experience owning or improving mobile release processes, including signing and provisioning, is required.
- Understanding of mobile application security and regulated control environments is required.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills for complex build, runtime, and production issues are required.
- Effective communication and stakeholder-influence skills across Engineering, Security, Product, Operations, and partner organizations are required.
- FinTech or highly regulated-industry experience is preferred.
- Experience with design systems, UI development, white-labelling, accessibility requirements, React Native, or other multiplatform solutions is preferred.
- A portfolio of apps or GitHub contributions is preferred.
