Responsibilities
- Build the sandbox isolation layer using microVMs or containers, namespaces, cgroups, seccomp, and snapshot/restore primitives.
- Own the security boundary for environments running untrusted customer code.
- Scale environment creation, lifecycle management, latency, and density across thousands of concurrent sandboxes.
- Write production Go and own the architecture and most difficult implementation decisions.
- Partner with Product Managers to turn frontier research requirements into shippable infrastructure primitives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building backend or infrastructure systems.
- Production experience shipping systems in Go.
- Deep knowledge of Linux internals, including namespaces, cgroups, seccomp, virtualization, and ideally Firecracker-class microVMs.
- Understanding of network isolation at the packet level, beyond firewall rules.
- Strong performance-analysis skills, including understanding syscall costs and using profiles.
- Experience partnering with product, design, and business teams to ship software used by real customers.
- Collaborative, low-ego, team-first working style.
