Responsibilities
- Build, deploy, and manage cloud applications on SAP BTP, including platform administration touchpoints and solution design.
- Develop Node.js backend services, APIs, business logic, validations, and CRUD functionality for frontend consumption.
- Build responsive SAPUI5 user interfaces using XML views and controllers and integrate them with backend APIs.
- Design database artifacts and data models and connect applications to SAP HANA persistence.
- Configure BTP subaccounts, service instances, roles, development spaces, destinations, and connectivity for external APIs and databases.
- Package and deploy applications using multi-target application (MTA) deployment artifacts where applicable.
- Implement LLM-integrated agentic features including tool calling, orchestration, memory and state handling, and safe action boundaries.
- Build retrieval-grounded experiences over enterprise content and APIs with fallback behaviors.
- Create offline and online evaluation loops to measure AI behavior and detect regressions.
- Use Git-based workflows, debug backend and database issues, and collaborate in Agile/Scrum delivery models.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience.
- 15 years of full-time education.
- Required hands-on experience with SAP BTP application development.
- Experience spanning SAP BTP platform architecture, administration basics, solution design, frontend development, backend development, APIs, data models, and UI integration.
- Experience developing Node.js-based backend services and SAPUI5 interfaces.
- Experience with SAP HANA-based persistence and BTP deployment and connectivity patterns.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including clean code, testing, CI/CD orientation, and production hardening.
- Experience building LLM-integrated applications with agentic patterns, retrieval-grounded generation, orchestration, evaluation, and safety boundaries.
- Practical exposure to SAP Business Application Studio and familiarity with BTP application-development learning paths or enablement programs are beneficial.
