Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native solutions and analytics dashboards for proactive monitoring and network hygiene.
- Create software, data-flow, and database designs; translate requirements into low-level designs.
- Document development and modifications while ensuring institutional data integrity and security.
- Build and maintain APIs, integrations, and custom applications in a microservice-based architecture.
- Write unit and integration tests, perform code reviews, and support CI/CD, deployment, and automation.
- Collaborate with teams, train and guide engineers, and help lead projects from start to finish.
Requirements
- 7+ years of engineering experience with extensive Django or Flask, React, relational databases, and microservice-based architectures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred.
- Strong experience with AWS, including Route 53, CloudFront, API Gateway, Aurora RDS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, EKS, ECS, S3, AWS SDK, Lambda, and SQS.
- Experience with unit and integration testing, Git, CI/CD tooling, and security scans.
- Knowledge of Linux administration, console commands, scripting, Python, and Bash.
- Experience building REST APIs and using OpenAPI or Swagger specifications.
- Knowledge of Kafka or Flink, plus familiarity with gRPC, GraphQL, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, project-tracking tools, and automation tools.
- Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL databases and persistent stores including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and MongoDB.
- Experience with third-party integrations, custom application development and deployment, and BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
- Strong communication, collaboration, presentation, influencing, problem-solving, and mentoring skills; experience with large-scale, technologically complex accounts is desired.
