Base Salary
$194k - $285k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and own the physical security systems integration layer, including access control and video management platforms, APIs, and data connectors.
- Design and deliver security services spanning physical security, hardware provisioning, site readiness, cloud and network infrastructure, identity and access management, key management, and observability.
- Partner with software engineers from architecture through production support to ensure secure, resilient, scalable, and operationally excellent services.
- Own the AWS footprint, including hosted services, identity boundaries, and network boundaries.
- Lead complex technical initiatives through working-backwards plans, dependency management, risk registers, escalation, and stakeholder communications.
- Drive technical decisions, build-versus-buy recommendations, strategy, success metrics, and operational improvements.
- Mentor engineers and program managers and improve planning, written status reporting, risk framing, and security practices.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in security or infrastructure engineering, including 4+ years leading multi-team technical programs.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Security Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent years of experience in a related technical field.
- Expertise with cloud-based services and infrastructure such as AWS and Google Cloud.
- Hands-on depth with enterprise access control and video platforms such as Lenel, Genetec, and Milestone, including their APIs and integrations.
- Strong understanding of at least three security domains, such as identity and access management, physical security systems, security operations, detection and response, DevSecOps, security architecture and engineering, and network security.
- Experience with global-scale software or cloud rollouts, vendor platforms, integrations, and migrations across sites or regions.
- Experience with JIRA, technical design reviews, security controls, estimating, project planning, and scheduling.
- Strong written and verbal communication, cross-functional influence, negotiation, ownership, autonomy, and ambiguity management.
- Preferred: experience with physical security, access control, safety technology, security or trust-and-safety organizations, or establishing program practices.
- Preferred: proficiency in SQL data analysis, Python coding, and automation tooling.
- Preferred: experience building agentic workflows.
