Responsibilities
- Lead frontend development and deliver scalable, performant, responsive, and accessible user interfaces.
- Build interfaces with React.js, Material UI, Tailwind CSS, or similar component libraries.
- Implement maintainable state management using tools such as Redux, Recoil, or Zustand.
- Integrate and validate REST, GraphQL, and WebSockets APIs, including error handling and performance tuning.
- Apply frontend security practices for authentication flows and protection against XSS and CSRF.
- Deploy, monitor, and instrument frontend applications in AWS and CDN environments.
- Implement frontend monitoring, logging, observability, and error tracking for performance and reliability.
- Maintain unit and integration test coverage and guide junior engineers on testing best practices.
- Collaborate with product, UX, backend, DevOps, and cloud teams throughout delivery.
- Mentor junior developers, enforce code quality and accessibility standards, and participate in engineering hiring.
- Contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile delivery activities.
- Evaluate and promote AI-assisted development tools and frontend engineering best practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional frontend development experience with React.js and modern JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks.
- Strong experience consuming APIs, handling errors, and tuning frontend performance.
- Experience with responsive, accessible, and scalable UI development.
- Hands-on experience with Material UI, Tailwind CSS, or other reusable component and CSS frameworks.
- Experience with CDNs such as AWS CloudFront and with deploying and monitoring applications on cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Knowledge of Git, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with AI-assisted coding tools and the ability to improve code quality and productivity with them.
- Awareness of frontend security practices, including XSS, CSRF, and authentication flows.
- Experience with frontend monitoring and observability tools such as Sentry, Datadog, or New Relic.
- Understanding of frontend performance metrics, including page load times, Core Web Vitals, and responsiveness.
- Understanding of modern module bundlers such as Webpack, Vite, Esbuild, or Bun.
- Experience writing and maintaining unit and integration tests and mentoring less-experienced engineers.
- Preferred experience with Next.js, Blazor, Lighthouse, React Profiler, full-stack development with .NET Core, media pipeline workflows, asset management, or digital distribution platforms.
- Strong collaboration, communication, analytical, mentoring, ownership, and stakeholder-alignment skills.
