Base Salary
$207k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead 2–4 engineers, own technical workstreams end to end, plan milestones, and drive execution from proof-of-concept prototypes to production systems.
- Architect, build, and scale large-scale data pipelines, distributed training infrastructure, and low-cost interactive-speed model inference systems.
- Run experiments and test hypotheses with researchers and engineers to evaluate modeling and systems improvements across the machine learning lifecycle.
- Collaborate with teams across London and New York and adapt execution as project priorities shift.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Applied Statistics, Machine Learning, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of software development experience.
- Experience with Python or C++, algorithm design, and machine learning.
- Experience acting as a Technical Lead and guiding system architecture and milestone delivery.
- Preferred experience with large-scale data pipelines, distributed systems, and ML frameworks such as JAX.
- Preferred experience taking deployed projects from proof of concept through implementation.
- Preferred experience driving execution across a 5–10 person engineering or research team.
- Preferred expertise in earth observation, remote sensing, or related fields.
