Base Salary
$90k - $115k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, test, and maintain responsive modular UI components using React and TypeScript.
- Develop geoprocessing tools, automation processes, and web services using Python, C#, and/or Node.js.
- Create custom Python geoprocessing tools for ArcGIS and manage, analyze, process, project, convert, and present geospatial data.
- Implement ETL processes for integrations with internal and external APIs.
- Participate in software development planning, code reviews, version control, and project management.
- Collaborate with GIS and other teams to enhance application responsiveness and user experience.
- Prioritize and communicate workflows across multiple projects and assist with server-based GIS and web application setup.
- Research data sources and tools, including monitoring tools, and complete special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of front-end software development experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- At least 5 years of experience with scripting languages and tools such as Python or other data-processing tools.
- At least 2 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and software development tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Jira.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include a relevant master’s degree, ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, ArcGIS API for Python, ArcGIS REST API, Pandas, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, SQL, Azure, FME, Alteryx, spatial analysis, cartography, data visualization, and renewable-energy experience.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Benefits
- Base pay is $90,000.00-$115,000.00 annually, with potential annual bonus eligibility of 20%-30%.

- The position is on-site at Invenergy’s headquarters in downtown Chicago, Illinois.
