Responsibilities
- Architect complex systems and make critical technical decisions.
- Solve challenging technical problems with innovative solutions.
- Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence across teams.
- Align technical strategies with business goals through cross-functional collaboration.
- Contribute to technical roadmaps and strategic planning.
- Evaluate new technologies and lead innovation initiatives.
- Guide architecture and delivery across multiple product areas and shape technical direction for senior engineering talent.
- Build and optimize scalable infrastructure, data ingestion, processing, observability, and performance-monitoring systems.
Requirements
- A BS/BTech or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- 10+ years of production-level engineering experience building highly scalable systems is required.
- 6+ years of experience acting as a trusted technical decision-maker in a team setting is required.
- 4+ years of experience working with SQL or other database querying languages on large multi-table datasets is required.
- Experience architecting, developing, and deploying large-scale distributed systems is required.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is required.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines is required.
- Strong familiarity with server-side web technologies including Java, Python, Scala, C#, C++, or Go is required.
- Preferred qualifications include 10+ years building highly scalable and reliable infrastructure and experience translating AI capabilities into scalable products.
- Experience guiding large teams of 50+ engineers across multiple product areas is preferred.
- Experience with data ingestion, large-scale data processing, database replication, sharding, high availability, security, observability, performance monitoring, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Databricks is preferred.
- Health-tech experience with electronic health records or clinical data is desired.
- The role requires prolonged sitting, extensive computer and keyboard use, and occasional walking and lifting.
