Responsibilities
- Design and implement security controls for AI/ML applications, platforms, models, APIs, agents, and supporting infrastructure.
- Deploy security tooling and automation using AWS infrastructure and APIs, and integrate security validation into MLOps, LLMOps, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Threat model AI systems and translate identified risks into engineering requirements, mitigations, tests, and controls.
- Secure generative AI and agentic AI systems, including model endpoints, RAG, vector databases, tools, agent workflows, identity boundaries, and external integrations.
- Evaluate and integrate AI security technologies for runtime protection, testing, data protection, observability, and AI security posture management.
- Secure containerized AI workloads and implement cloud, network, secrets-management, runtime, policy, and infrastructure-as-code controls.
- Partner with engineering and cybersecurity teams to investigate threats, remediate issues, conduct security reviews, and provide practical recommendations.
- Deploy monitoring and detection for AI-related security activity, misuse, anomalous behavior, and emerging attack techniques.
- Develop AI security standards and technical guidance based on security, regulatory, and risk requirements.
- Travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, application security, cloud security, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong programming or scripting skills for building security tooling, automation, integrations, and proof-of-concept implementations.
- Strong knowledge of application security fundamentals, including authentication, authorization, API security, secrets management, cryptography, validation, software supply-chain security, and common vulnerabilities.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies, preferably AWS, plus threat modeling and security testing.
- Understanding of AI/ML systems and the AI development lifecycle, including model training, inference, APIs, data pipelines, and MLOps/LLMOps.
- Familiarity with LLM and generative-AI risks, AI agents, RAG architectures, vector databases, embeddings, model APIs, and AI application frameworks.
- Experience designing, developing, and automating agentic AI workflows and pipelines using technologies such as n8n, Databricks Agent Bricks, or Amazon Bedrock Agents.
- Familiarity with OWASP guidance for LLM and GenAI applications, MITRE ATLAS, and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework.
- Fluency in English.
- Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain, MLflow, or SageMaker is desirable.
- Knowledge of data protection techniques, regulated environments, GxP, GDPR, the EU AI Act, or HIPAA is beneficial.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, cloud security certifications, or AI security certifications are a plus.
