Base Salary
$170k - $272k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor software developers supporting autonomous unmanned aerial vehicle programs.
- Oversee software planning, architecture, design, development, testing, documentation, and lifecycle processes.
- Derive software architecture and algorithm designs from detailed requirements.
- Lead internal and external software design reviews and present technical updates.
- Ensure software work meets coding standards, project schedules, budgets, and completion commitments.
- Supervise technical software development and coordinate with multiple engineering teams and senior management.
- Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to less experienced engineers.
- Contribute to process improvement and determine methods for new or special assignments.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or Physics, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 15+ years of relevant experience developing Windows or Linux application software.
- Experience with object-oriented design, formal software lifecycle processes, software design patterns, SDLC, and STLC.
- Expertise in at least one of C#/.NET, C++, C, or Python.
- Experience writing unit tests, debugging code, and using source-code configuration management tools such as Git.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, IDEs, and debuggers.
- Demonstrated mathematical, analytical, leadership, judgment, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Preferred experience with computer vision, machine learning, embedded systems, UAS, drones, robotics, autonomous vehicles, real-time control systems, estimation techniques, databases, operating systems, and networking.
- Occasional local travel is required.
- Applicants must satisfy applicable ITAR/EAR requirements; some positions require current U.S. citizenship.
