Base Salary
$191k - $263k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate internal tools and platform capabilities for high-leverage non-engineering workflows.
- Translate ambiguous internal pain points into simple, durable software products.
- Define safe and maintainable platform constraints for authentication, runtimes, storage, deployment, and maintenance.
- Use product judgment to determine appropriate boundaries between Retool, Scaffold, and new AI-native internal tooling.
- Partner with Security, Infrastructure, and internal stakeholders to ship reliable production systems.
- Own systems end-to-end through implementation, rollout, support, and iterative improvement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong experience building and operating production systems.
- Experience building internal tools, platforms, or workflow software.
- Strong product judgment and communication in ambiguous environments.
- Hands-on experience using AI-powered development tools, agents, or automation.
- Comfort creating the first version of a product surface without a clear industry template.
- Preferred experience with developer tooling, internal platforms, or infrastructure-adjacent systems.
- Preferred experience with authentication, service accounts, constrained runtimes, or internal security boundaries.
- Preferred experience building products for non-engineering users.
- Preferred exposure to agentic workflows, automation, or AI-enabled internal applications.
